“Cruise With a Mission is not just a Lake union or even an NAD event. It’s for anyone!” says CWM director Nathaniel Sevilla.
In December 2021, the Center for Youth Evangelism hosted Cruise With a Mission to Mexico. This is a trip that combines a vacation and mission trip to provide a unique experience.
The group stopped in Cabo San Lucas at an orphanage and cleaned, painted, and fixed walls, windows, fences, pillars, and gates then played with the 30 plus kids. They also ministered to Spanish speaking patients in medical assistance programs so they could be treated.
In Mazatlán they renovated the church facility by removing tile from floors, scrubbing and resealing a roof, painting many exterior walls, and repairing the rod iron fence. The pastor was so grateful that he prayed for God’s blessing on the group’s health, ministry, and finances. He was so touched he asked God to abundantly bless the group as they did his church.
Lastly, in Puerto Vallarta, the team literally helped build a church. The open church space was merely four cement pillars with a metal roof and a dirt floor. They helped paint/repair the walls, mix cement and carry it to the roof so the members could have proper cover, and finally paint the surrounding walls that protect and beautify the open sanctuary.
