The Mid-America Union is sponsoring a Teen Pathfinder Camporee July 30- Aug. 9 at one of the most spectacular natural sites in the world—Yellowstone National Park.

This camporee is designed to sharpen Teen Leadership Training skills as the Pathfinders prepare to take assigned responsibilities in the upcoming union-wide Pathfinder Camporee to be held in the Black Hills of Custer, South Dakota on July 26-30, 2017.

A delegation from the Montana Conference will join the 100 MAUC Pathfinders led by Travis Sager, Kansas-Nebraska Conference youth director. Serving in supporting roles will be Hubert Cisneros, Mid-America Union youth director, and Denison Sager, Iowa-Missouri Conference youth director. Adult counselors will be on hand to lead out in assignments as the Pathfinders pitch their tents and prepare their own meals each day.

The Pathfinders will enjoy Thermopolis Hot Springs Pools and tour Thermal Hot Spots while designing a new Geothermal Honor to be submitted for official status to the North American Division Pathfinder Honors Committee.

Other exciting experiences will include swimming in Firehole River, hiking the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and exploring a rarely seen water fall. Special worship services are scheduled to take place at the Old Faithful Lodge before Pathfinders return home.

Thank you for your prayers and support as our Pathfinders blaze new trails for Jesus—the greatest Pathfinder of all who walked the path to Calvary.

Hubert Cisneros is youth director for the Mid-America Union Conference.
