Young adults are one of the hardest groups to reach, and many churches are searching for ways to connect with them. This research may have an answer.

Pastor Hiram Rester from Columbia, Missouri chose to research how video advertisements impacted attendance to an evangelistic series.

According to an article he wrote for the Ministry magazine, the video project brought 25 people (13 young adults) from the community to attend the evangelistic series, maybe more that did not fill out the survey.

Hiram’s full article is available for free in the Digital Commons at Andrews University.

The summary and directions on how anyone can use advertisements in their own community can be found in the Ministry article at ministrymagazine.org.
