Skyview Learning Academy would like to congratulate senior student, Trystan Ray, on passing the exam to be a Nationally Registered EMT.  At just 16 years old, Trystan has found her true calling in life.  Through the cooperative efforts of Skyview and the Douglas Volunteer Fire & Rescue, Trystan joined last year as a cadet and is pursuing a career as a Paramedic after graduation from Skyview this spring.

“Through countless hours of course work, lectures, labs, exams, and studying, I officially made it,” Trystan recently posted on her social media account.  When asked what motivated her to purse this path, Trystan said that she has been inspired by watching her mom and other EMT’s respond to calls in the community.
I love being able to help people when they are at some of their weakest moments in life and I am excited to keep learning more in the EMS field every day that I can.
Trystan will have to wait until she turns 18 to be licensed in the State of Nebraska and be able to serve as an EMT, but she will continue to gain experience in the meantime as a cadet on the Douglas Volunteer Fire & Rescue department.

Trystan is the daughter of Skyview founders, Mick and Michele Ray, of rural Douglas and is proud to say that she is a 4th generation EMT, following after her great-grandmother (the late Jeannie Nelson Shermer of Oakdale), her grandfather (Randy Nelson of Oakdale), and her mother (Michele Ray of Douglas).
