LaQuita Anderson has accepted the invitation to serve as treasurer for the Iowa-Missouri Conference. She will fill the position vacated by Rhonda Karr, who recently retired.

Anderson is quite familiar with the Midwest as she was born and raised in Nebraska, growing up on the campus of Platte Valley Academy and graduating from PVA. She went on to attend Andrews University, earning her BBA in Accounting. For the past 25 years, LaQuita has served in various positions within the Lake Union Conference, including Great Lakes Adventist Academy, Lake Union Intern – serving Wisconsin Academy, and then transitioning to the Wisconsin Conference in 2015 as assistant treasurer. Since 2019, Anderson has served as associate treasurer for the Wisconsin Conference.

She says, “Little did I know nine years ago when God planted a seed in my life of the future plans He had for me, that I would accept the baton from a dedicated servant of God in treasury. I’m humbled as I follow God’s pursuit of many promptings and join a wonderful team dedicated to serving the Lord in the Iowa-Missouri Conference.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”

We never know where God may lead us individually or as a conference, but one thing we can be certain of is that when we trust Him, seek Him for wisdom, and listen to His promptings, He will lead us down paths that will fulfill His purpose as we prepare for Christ’s soon return.

The administration is excited to see how God will use LaQuita Anderson in His work and mission in Iowa and Missouri.
