During its virtual year-end meeting on Nov. 19, the Mid-America Union Conference Executive Committee received reports, voted ministerial credentials and approved commissioning/ordination recommendations from local conferences. The committee also voted a new vice president for administration and approved the 2021 budget.

The day’s devotional thought was presented by Elder Gil F. Webb, current vice president of administration for Mid-America Union, who will be retiring next month. Webb offered words of encouragement during this year of unprecedented challenges.

Reports were presented by the Audit Review Committee and the Salary Audit Committee and MAUC vice president for finance Troy Peoples presented the 2021 budget, which was voted with strong support from the Executive Committee. They also approved an MAUC covid relief plan that will be distributed among the six conferences in Mid-America territory.

Current information about the coronavirus was shared by Sam Huenergardt (AdventHealth Shawnee Mission CEO) and Ken Bacon (Centura Health CEO). Reports also came from AdventSource, Christian Record Services for the Blind and Union College president Vinita Sauder.
