The Bourbon Seventh-day Adventist School in Missouri held its annual Food Drive last fall with students placing grocery bags on doorsteps of houses around the school with a note explaining the process. The following week the students, teacher and volunteer drivers picked up the bags containing nonperishable food items. A Fall Festival was also held at the school where more items were collected. In total 377 items were donated to the Bourbon Food Pantry.

Taught a church school with just that many students back in the 80s and we did the same thing–very worthy community project for kids!
Where did you teach, Teresa?
we helped the food pantries when I taught at Cleveland, GA and Knoxville, IA
Thanks for your years of service. It’s evident you still have a teacher’s heart.
We attended a friend’s wedding in Georgia…some beautiful country down there! I’ve never been to Knoxville, but it’s not too far from Des Moines, right? My wife grew up in Nevada, which is also not far from Des Moines. It’s also on our way to my home state of Minnesota, so I’m pretty familiar with the area.
