Adventist Community Services director for Central States Claval Hunter responded, along with other volunteers, to relief efforts for residents affected by Hurricane Harvey in Houston, Texas.

ACS leaders around the Conference came together to collect clothing, hygiene items and cleaning supplies. More than $2,500 has been collected online for this relief effort.

“I’m grateful to the people of God showing they care after such a horrific storm,” said Elder Hunter. “The amazing thing is that in this terrible situation, there is hope and love shown. A big thank you to all of our ACS leaders and team involved.”

We are continuing to partner with the North American Division to send volunteers to these disaster sites.
